About Us

We are a small family ranch located 20 miles outside of Bryan, Texas. The Rockin S ranch has been in our family nearly 150 years.

Cattle have always been a large part of the property dating back to my great grandfather. My father helped his grandfather with the cattle and I helped my grandfather with the cattle. He was a welder and the name, Rockin S Ranch, is dedicated to him as he would place a "Rockin S" on just about everything he made.

A few years ago we decided to raise cattle focused on selling directly to the customer. Since 2017 we have been raising pasture grass raised Brangus. Here is a brief summary of our family.

Barbara was born and raised in Bryan and lived on the ranch when she was younger. Her mother was 1 of 12 children that was born on the property and were largely self-sufficient, making due with what the land provided for a family of 15.  Her father purchased the ranch from his father-in-law in the early 20th century.

She was happily married to Gene for nearly 50 years. During that time they raised their own cattle and enjoyed many great memories with friends and family here.

Now she acts as ranch supervisor and BBQ quality control specialist!

Gerald also was born and raised a few miles from the ranch. Throughout his childhood he helped his grandfather raise cattle. Early on they would shuck thousands of corn husk to feed the cattle during the winter.

He loves hunting and fishing and working around the ranch. Together him and his son Brendan run the day-to-day operations.

Gerald also raises quail and quail eggs for sale to game ranches and individuals.

Brendan - Rancher B

Brendan began working on the ranch with his father and grandfather at a young age. The youngest generation of "Rockin S" he shares the love for the land and continues the family traditions, as well as starting a few of his own.

In his spare time you can find him traveling, spending time with friends and family or relaxing around the ranch.
